A teacher was shot dead while on his way to school in Bihar’s Saharsa on Friday. The bullet hit the teacher’s chest. The deceased’s so-called wife has said that the reason behind the shooting was a land dispute between the brother, sister and parents. On receiving information about the incident, the police reached the spot, took the body in their custody and sent it to Sadar Hospital for postmortem and started investigating the reasons behind the murder. The deceased teacher has been identified as Saroj Kumar (45), a permanent resident of Bariahi Bazaar.
The miscreants ambushed him and killed him
According to the information, teacher Saroj Kumar was living with his so-called wife in a rented house in Panchvati of Saharsa city for the last few days. Saroj was also getting a house constructed on Gandhi Path. On Friday morning, Saroj was going to the middle school in Safawad of Bariahi on bike after dropping his wife at the plot on Gandhi Path. As soon as he reached Rahua canal, the miscreants who were already waiting there fired two shots at him, he died on the spot as soon as he was shot. The deceased’s father Bal Mukund Gupta said that Saroj is not married yet. He was living in a live-in relationship with Roopa.
